Stop Finance England cuts for English nursing/midwifery students studying in Scotland

As English nursing/midwifery students, we have always claimed a maintenance loan from Student Finance England studying in Scotland. From this point, they have stated we will no longer gain any funding from them, including our last scheduled payment of the year.
This decision was made without any prior warning or knowledge of discussion that there may be a change to our funding.
Our university year allows only 13 weeks holiday compared to other degrees, and as nursing students, we spend 50% of our academic year on placement working for the NHS, making it very difficult to find work that is flexible to our placement weeks and hours.
Without our loan from Student Finance England, many of us will no longer be able to physically afford to stay in Scotland and as a result will cause many of us to have to try and change universities mid way through our course or drop out completely.
In the midst of our NHS already being in crisis and short staffed, why are student finance England risking the loss of so many soon to be nurses who are ready to fill those staff shortages across the nation.
We're trying to gain as many names to stand with us and help us fight this change! Thank you for your support.
