I have been a USAA member for well over 10 years. I recently received a dividend check of $0.02 and a friend of mine received a check for $0.29 in the mail. In conversation, we both expressed how ridiculous this is. The cost of administration, postage, etc must certainly be more than the few cents being issued. Why not ask members if they are willing to forgo this amount (when $5 or less) and have it directly donated back to our vets or a worthy organization? I believe the USAA mission is to support the troops and see that families are receiving support they need.
