We feel that only a few people are aware of the Cancer support services such as the charity Maggie's who support people who are suffering from cancer and their families. Often people don't seem to be aware of charities such as these until they or someone they know is affected by it. I am running this petition because my Auntie was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in October 2017 and sadly passed away in June 2018, and Maggie's supported her and then our family to cope with the difficult time. We want local government to raise people's awareness of these organisations and the excellent work they do so that people know that they are there if they need them.
