Our goal is to change the oppressive and excessive rules in our school. Students at Strive Prep Rise would like to change the culture team, as well as making sure that the staff that is chosen are experienced in TRUAMA Information Training. In addition, changing from uniform to lanyards instead. Admin claims it’s to keep us safe but our clothes do not keep us protected. We would also like to have longer lunch periods because we cannot get the pent up energy we have out in just 30 minutes of eating. Further more, we would like to elect exceptional students to be apart of a student board to advocate for our schools needs, not only to admin but to the Denver Public Schools board as well. By protesting we can get these issues solved by holding our principal and admin accountable for what needs to be changed. We have many more needs to be met and as a school we need to be the best we can be. Sign our petition to get these issues in the works to be being solved!
