After leaking information affecting our national security in 2019 he was fired as Defence Secretary. Then after participating in the great school exam debacle during covid whilst in the office of Secretary of State for Education he was dismissed again in September 2021. This failure was swiftly followed by the awarding of a knighthood just 6 months later. Now he has resigned less than one hour after the Channel 4 news programme that featured an interview with Anne Milton a previous Deputy Chief Whip, finished airing. Her references to his bullying and threatening behaviour towards his colleagues over an extended period of time, along with inappropriate text and email messaging converged to further support the idea that he should be gone from the cabinet. He has resigned. We cannot give honours to someone with this record. They must be removed.
