Stratton - bring back Kidderbrook lift
Stratton Mountain has some of its best glades in the Kidderbrook area (Test Pilot, Kidderbrook Ravine, Vertigo). However, skiing any of them is followed by a 5-minute flat zero-fun ski-out to the base of Sun Bowl, a 5 minute ride up Sunrise Express and a 4 minute ride up Shooting Star. With no lift lines, this becomes a 15-20-minute trip. To make matters worse, with Ikon Pass and COVID the lines at Sun Bowl and elsewhere are getting much bigger, and Shooting Star is often on wind hold or non-operational - resulting in return trips much longer than 20 minutes. The net effect of this is that Kidderbrook trails and glades are under-utilized, while the rest of the mountain is increasingly crowded.
Stratton used to have a Kidderbrook lift until 2007. It is time to build a modern replacement for it - this would make the Kidderbrook area much more accessible, increase the overall uphill capacity and alleviate the long lines in other parts of the mountain. If this is not possible, then at least put in a short (could even be surface) connecting lift from the bottom of Kidderbrook to the bottom of Shooting Star. You will make many of your customers happy.
