We have now had a couple of very scary near misses out the front. The speed limit on vale street is still at 50km/h but cars have been witnessed to of been doing in excess of the posted 50km/h.

Keeping our children safe when families are dropping off and picking up at childcare is a massive priority of ours, our outcome of this petition is to hopefully gain a change of speed limit to 40km/h in peak times. 8am-9.30am & again at 2pm-3.30pm to cover majority drop off/pickup times of children at the centre. Even a manned crossing during these times would be fantastic with access to more parking for parents/families.
