Ella McKee started this petition to Stormont

Northern Ireland’s health care system is the most deprived in the UK. Every day, more and more innocent lives are lost to suicide. We need to demand Stormont to allocate more funding to mental health services: England dedicate 13% of their funding to MH, while Northern Ireland toss 7% towards this. With more funding, we could open more organisations and environments to help those in need, such as more tailored care facilities and extra beds in inpatient units. Funding can also help campaigning and spreading awareness, which will help target intervention and preventative measures: nipping this epidemic in the bud before it escalates even further out of control. Our people are crying out for the help and attention that we desperately need to help our mental health and those suffering. We already experienced the Troubles- we can’t handle more devastation. We are pleading for our absent government to notice our cries for help and this petition can help us get their attention away from their pay checks and more towards our basic needs.
