Water Companies are abusing our rivers and streams. Whilst they regularly pump untreated sewage into them, at the same they pay hundreds millions of pounds in dividends to their shareholders.

In addition to this the management of the Water Companies, which are monopolies , continually pay themselves higher and higher salaries whilst ignoring the waste issue.

Water Companies have the right to discharge untreated sewage waste only in “exceptional circumstances. “ They alone decide what those exceptional circumstances are and as a result of the abuse of this light touch regulation , our rivers are dying. 
Stop this abuse immediately. Stop paying dividends whilst the untreated waste is being discharged into our rivers.  Reinvest the money into the waste issue and deal with this environmental issue urgently and prioritise it over dividend payments
