Greetings one & all

In light of the most recent tragic event which occurred over the weekend on Chelsea Bridge where a black male  (Oladeji Adeyemi Omishore ) was repeatedly tasered and sadly died as a result of excessive force. A situation which could and would have been handled much differently given the responding officers had adequate / updated / frequent training on how to deal with individuals that present as this person did .. (Actively in MH crisis )

This sadly is not the first incident of its nature and  definitely will not be the last  if people continue to spectate and not attempt to address and dismantle

Our community is already cripled by racial disparities and lack of trust / confidence in the multiple agencies that claim to serve , care and protect us !

Black people are 5x more likely to have excessive force used upon interaction with police!!

Tasers are harmful!!..they have been proven to cause

*Sudden cardiac arrest

*Localised burns

*Induce temporary brain damage

*Loss of bowel and bladder control

*Declined cognitive function comparable to dementia (Inability to process information)

*Death

How is a lethal mind and body altering weapon allowed to be used ?? Especially on people who's brain is already in dysfunctional mode

This needs to change !!!
