The Rush Line BRT Project is a proposed 14-mile transit route led by Ramsey County with stations between Union Depot in Saint Paul and downtown White Bear Lake.  The Rush Line will:

*Run 7 days a week from early am to late at night.

*Arrive every 10 minutes during rush hours and every 15 minutes other times.

*Have a Station at 7th Street and Washington Ave. with driver facility proposed to be located on adjacent residential property.  Stations will have amenities like shelter, light, heat, fare payment machines and real-time departure signs.

*This will stop traffic along 7th and 8th Streets and cause real-time backups for school buses, and parents going to the junior high and high schools in the am and pm.

*Take parking away from one viable business on the west side of Hwy 61.

*Make it impossible for residents to enter and exit Long Ave and Washington  Ave.

*Located within 1000 feet of the junior high school.

*Cause risks to personal safety, neighborhood safety, and have environmental consequences with noise, lights, and air pollution.

*This station should be on the East side where all the businesses are located, not near schools and residential properties.
