I know there are lots of arguments between the NSW Government and the Union about the Sydney train system. But seems no one care about Sydney commuters. The Sydney train fares are among the most expensive public fare in the world.

But look at what service the commuter is getting at the moment:

·         Train services are cancelled regularly on daily basis without notice.

·         Train services are delayed regularly on daily basis without notice.

·         Fully packed carriage when industrial action or bad weather coming.

·         Old train still running in some train line.

·          Train fares are increased on annual bases, sometimes even on semi-annual bases.

 

To be fair, the commuters are the customers of the Sydney train. As a commuter, we should have some right to have a say on how to fix this mess.

1.       Yes, the pay can be raised based on performance or KPI. Like 95% on-time rate etc.

2.       Yes, the train should be made more locally to support the Australian economy, but this should be done gradually without impacting normal train service.

3.       No matter, what arguments are raised, try to find a way to reach an agreement without much impact on the commuters.

Sydney is a great city to live in, we appreciate the worker from Sydney train for their hard work. Let’s work together to make this city even better.
