Violence against teens is going on all over the world wither its due to gangs, animosity, drugs, misuse of a firearm/weapon or mental illness. We have infants that don't make it to see age 2 or the toddler that didn't get a chance to enjoy the rest of his/her life. Today's kids are our future, without guidance and leadership what chances do they have. The parents, sister, brothers, aunties, cousins, uncles, grandmas, teachers, coaches and many more who don't get that first or second chance at hugging their baby or babies, his/her teacher teaching, his/her coach or teacher saying, "I'm proud of you, you did it again, congratulations". Friends seeing their favorite player make a 3 or score homecoming final touchdown, all taking away due to someone else's wrong discussions.

Our city needs to change in better for our children future and ours. When we become elderly it's our children who will take over the responsibility and care for us, this city, and most of all this world.  First, we as parents need to educate our children on the real dangers in the world and the real consequences of their actions. We as adults, parents, counsel, police officers, teachers, probation officers can all make a change in not just our children but all the children around the world. First, I believe we need real role models of all types to came together and have a conversation with our youth without judgement. Plus, we can hear what they have to say as well and real REALLY TAKE ACTION!!!

Second, I believe with all of this free lots around here and all this building going on we need a real rec center on they fit all likes of a kind. Somewhere kids, teens, pre-adults can feel free and safe all the way around. I know this will take time and that's all we have so why the wait?

Third, I would love to see activities like dances and social events. We need to find the root cause of the problem and the only way is to get down our children level and find out what's going on as a friend and fix it. I see a lot of violence at parties, concerts. If we can give these fun activities to our children on certain occasions. I can see a start in to change. 

Sorry, but I'm now a single mother of 6 and I've lived the life believe me. I see and talk to children who I know have a better chance at life. If we have the right activities in place and ways, they can help. I believe we have a solution. I'm also able and ready to do all the foot work necessary. 

I'm scared to let my children do certain things and its nothing judgmental cause these situations can happen to anyone, at any time, and for any reason.
