I am a school student and for my whole life I have been disgusted by the amount of plastic in school canteens. Schools are a place of education and should we should not be teaching everyone that buying and throwing away single-use plastic is okay. I want all school canteens to be plastic free and teach the new generations that it is possible to live a zero plastic life, and hopefully it will encourage millions to protect our planet. 

We would like all unnecessary plastic products in school canteens to be banned. These are things like plastic wrapping, plastic cutlery and plastic pots. And instead replace them with wooden and cardboard products.

We would like the government to help schools pay for plastic alternatives by increasing and monitoring funding. We want all schools to have clean and maintained water dispensers with paper cups instead of selling bottled water. As well as this, we would like all snacks to not have plastic wrapping over them as it is wasteful and not disposed of properly, instead we want them to be placed in paper bags or not put in packaging at all.

We want the government to put and fine on the use of plastic in canteens. By sending people to survey all canteens the government can check they are all following guidelines and place a fine if not. 

Plastic is a huge problem, we need to change our ways. Help us help our planet.
