Stop Harrogate Spring Water Expansion
Stop Harrogate Spring Water Expansion
Harrogate Spring Water successfully applied for planning permission to expand their factory in 2017.
They've now amended their proposal to expand their building site work by a further 40%, into mature woodlands planted by local schoolchildren fifteen years ago.
These woods are precious and an important part of the community. They're a vital support system for wildlife and nature, when trees are being cut down across the country, and British species facing high rates of extinction.
All Harrogate Spring Water can offer is plastic bottles that won't be effectively recycled, and water that's massively overpriced compared to tap water. Companies that damage our environment should not be given unrestricted growth into community resources, and we believe that Rotary Wood must be preserved and protected.
