Des Plaines Police Department. My story....

After an incident where i called the police regarding a threat that was made on my life, the police ended up arresting me. I was issued a ticket for disturbing the peace. During the arrest i dislocated my shoulder and was send to a hospital. When i left the hospital i went directly to the Des Plaines Police department to get complaint paperwork. The commander on duty, "Commander Michael Holdman" told me that i had no complaint so he will not give me the paperwork. After 5 mins he finally tells me that the paperwork can be found online (which is a lie because i searched everywhere). After another 10 mins of begging he finally gave me the complaint paperwork. Commander Michael Holdman during this whole interaction was extremely aggressive towards me and disrespectful. When he handed me the complaint paperwork he said, "It will end up on my desk anyways and i will just end up throwing it away."

Once i handed the complaint forms in, a decision by, yes you guessed it, Commander Michael Holdman was reached that there was no wrong doing. This decision took two days to reach. I find it hard to believe that the dash camera footage audio tapes as well as all the reports or any other document was fairly and justly investigated in that small duration of time. Commander Michael Holdman stuck to his word, "when it reaches my desk i will throw it out anyways." This police department not only failed to protect me from a threat on my life but wrongfully arrested and charged me with disturbing the peace. During this wrongful arrest my shoulder was dislocated. When i went to file a complaint it was basically thrown away by an extremely aggressive and disrespectful commander, "Commander Michael Holdman".

The reason i was given by Commander Michael Holdman for rejecting my complaint is because there was rambling in the complaint. How horrible of an excuse!

I am posting my story to bring awareness to just one of many incidents similiar in nature due to interactions with Des Plaines Police Officers.

I am asking for an independent investigation into the conduct of all Des Plaines police department officers.
