This tar sand project will destroy key area's needed to sustain life on this planet. And furthermore, we have other options for energy. Unlock the patent office and lets move ahead.

Why kill so many and destroy so much of the planet because we have yet to figure out a cleaner and safer way to extract bio-energy from the tar sands? Think of that way and then lets talk before any further poisoning, destruction, and death.,

We've already seen how many oil spills have occurred between tankers, pipelines, and off-shore drilling. Are we really willing to expose our country to a risk that literally runs from Canada to the Gulf Coast? It only takes one incident to pollute our water supply, and this large of a project has widespread potential to exposing America's rivers and tributaries to disaster.

What lengths will oil companies go to in their relentless drive to gain advantage from the planet's resources at any cost? Greater emissions per barrel and a wrecked environment. It's time to grasp the truth that we have passed peak-oil and need to put all our efforts into alternatives and efficiency.

The environmental impact seems to be too great. Burning Natural gas to create Crude Oil seems like a very dirty procedure.

This is a bad project. Period. It's a disaster waiting to happen and Americans need to understand that the safety of our environment is at stake unless this project is stopped and seriously reevaluated!
