Stop the Selling of Fireworks to the General Public

The sale of fireworks in supermarkets and other local shops has become dangerous. Children are getting hold of the fireworks and throwing them at cars, vehicles, houses, people and through letter boxes with a complete disregard for people's safety.
The problem is also that because you have to be over 18 to buy fireworks, children are getting 'responsible adults' to buy them on their behalf and some people are buying them and selling them to anyone on the street. The police are unable to do anything unless some damage has been caused but these actions will ultimately end in serious injury or death of innocent people or the perpetrators themselves.
This is why I am petitioning for the sale of fireworks anywhere in the UK to stop and for people to be able to enjoy fireworks only at professionally organised firework displays across the country.
I am aiming for this petition to first reach local MP's and then the UK Government in order to enact much needed change in this area. Thank you for taking the time to consider this petition and hopefully we can make a change sooner rather than later.
