There have been 30 shootings at K-12 schools this year alone. That is more than one per week. This is an unacceptable risk for our teachers.

Animal rights activists were ignored for years, but OSHA was able to change Sea World’s policies when it was determined to be an unsafe environment for employees. Let’s do the same for our teachers!!!!!!!!!

There is a reason there is no such thing as “courtroom shootings, social security office shootings or airport shootings”. These places are not soft targets. Our schools should be protected the same way. Teachers cannot teach while watching their back for the next school shooter. No one should be physically able to walk into a school campus with a weapon. That is the case for the courthouse and for airplanes. It should be the same for schools giving our teachers and children the protection they deserve.
