A mandatory phone ban in our school is far from a general good option, and we need to try and stop it. Kids with physical or learning disabilities and mental illness may need phones to listen to music, access medical information, contact parents/important people etc. We use our phones all the time for important school business such as checking our timetable, playing Kahoots, using Google Classroom/Teams for school work, and accessing our calendars. Phone bans are illogical and inefficient, not to mention making disabled/"special needs" students' lives even harder than they already are in school. Please sign this petition to help stop the Kiama High phone ban.
