I am a high school student who is apart of the theater department. Our choir teacher performs solos during the student choir concerts and that is not ok. Me and many students along with many of the parents feel like this is very unnecessary. She uses the choir concerts as a way to become the center of attention, when these shows are meant to show the families and friends of the many people in the choir what they have worked so hard on. And yet Ms. Iund makes it a priority every concert to make herself the center of attention. The concert is for the students not for our teacher Ms. Iund to sing her own personal solo. Please help us stop this so the students can feel more confident in themselves when preforming so they can do their very best and not feel belittled when someone with high experience from teaching and being way older then them takes their spotlight.
