Parkhurst has seen an increase in trespassing within the community. This has seen a drastic effect to the public areas, parks and river banks. Settlements have been set up and expanding on the river banks surround Parkhurst, causing both a threat to the residents and vagrants. 

Residents living by the river close to the bottom of 6th Street/Parkhurst Road and surrounding have seen multiple settlements being put up right on the riverbed causing concern.

A recent event taken place was residents being frightened awake at midnight to explosive noises, gunshot sounding, to find a fire had started on the riverbank and directly on a residents property. The vagrants living there and responsible for the panic ran away when the fire got bigger, causing more explosive noises and carrying on for two hours thereafter. The residents are concerned for their safety and personal well-being but for those living in these settlements to. 

Let's get the people in charge to take charge of this matter once and for all and make Parkhurst and our parks safe again!
