The Martin Marietta strip mine located at 18401 W. Colfax in Golden, Colorado 80401 is expanding operations into new open space per Jeffco Zoning & Planning dept. Case #21-140315RZ case manager Cassidy Clements (email: cclements@co.jefferson.co.us). This strip mine in beautiful Golden, Colorado is the gateway to the Rocky Mountains and all our tourist. This strip mine is current generating Environmental damage & pollution to the hogback mountains. The mining activity is health concerns for the residential neighborhoods near the mine. This mine is generating toxic waste from heavy metals & uranium for in the rock. This mine also generates unwanted heavy truck traffic and additional heavy truck accidents in the local area. In addition there is unwanted heavy equipment noise, light noise from 24 hour operations, air quality concerns from extreme dust, oil spills and leaks from heavy mining equipment. Please help the citizen of Golden, Colorado stop the environmental damage being caused in the Martin Marietta strip mine.
