This petition is against the planned dispersal of St Bede playing field, Maldwyn Avenue. Reference number LS/HJB/85981

The local school St Bede's Acemdemy have submitted plans to take over 70 percent of the local field.

This would be fenced off by a 6 foot fence leaving just the small area off Peveril Street for public use.

We feel this would have.a determinal affect on the local community as the field is use on a daily basis by families, young children and dog walkers.

The next nearest green space is across a very busy main road and therefore not accessible to most.

Plus our community group Friends of Morris Green intend to fundraise in order to set up a permanent area of activity for all our young people not just those who go to the school.

The field is an essential part of the local community and with the current credit crunch and obesity crisis.We the undersigned feel very strongly about the potential loss of yet another green space.
