When people try to do the right things in life for their family & new country, then by making an unknown mistake, it seems they are punished for it. Our big banks made lots of mistakes that hurt 1000s of families but they didn't have to pay for their mistakes, didn't go to jail or pay healthy fines. Instead their mistakes were past on to us. Let this law abiding woman stay here. She didn't do any thing criminal. Leave her alone.

The cynics who say that "petitions don't work"
are either lying through their teeth, or very misinformed.
Remember that the right to petition is part of the
First Amendment. So is the social networking associated
with petitions. It's described as "the right of the people
peaceably to assemble." And no one is permitted to
interfere with that right in the United States - if they do,
they are breaking the law; and that's much more than
an "innocent mistake." Victory for Yamileth Hoffman
and her family!

Anyone married and with a child here, should not be ostracized. She should have been sent the application for a voters card, and voted. She did nothing wrong.

no one should have to leave their husband and child. It isn't her fault that no one told her until after the fact

This was done by people who new better and should have had on the voter registration form that you must be a US Citizen. This was not the young mother and wife's fault but the people that sent the application in the mail and the office that cent hers a Voter Registration Card with out checking if she were a US Citizen
