The reason why i think people should sign the petition is because every one deserves a second chance at life and my NEPHEW Needs His Dad. My brother was incarcerated in march 2011 in the state of RI for Drug charges and it was a mistake he made and regrets...Since His Incarceration In the ACI They put a ICE hold on him and ICE picked him up and was Transferred To BRISTOL COUNTY JAIL in NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA.
He Has a 4 year old son Named Austelino Jr. who has CHRONIC ASTMA and A Fiance Named Sheila Who Needs Him And misses him dearly. They are trying to deport him to Cape Verde..He has been in this country since he was a child and dont remember anything there. He went to school here and graduated from Shea high School. We have no family there so how do they expect him to survive. if they was to deport him that means his fiance and son has to move to Cape verde and the living condition over there is not good to my nephew because of his Chronic astma.
How do they expect someone to live some where with no family and nothing at all..My family has been torn apart and my heart has been broken since then. My nephew has been crying since his dad was taken away from him and it breaks my heart to see him suffer. i need my brother with us and i cant imagine life without him. He's been a great Dad to his son, a great uncle to my 2 daughters, a great brother to his siblings, a great son to his parents and a good husband to his fiance and taking that away from us would be a tragedy. my mom already lost a son to brain cancer at age 9 and to lose another son is so unfair and it hurts me to see her down and depressed everyday. she already had a minor heart attack when she appeared in court for the decision for his deportation..we are appealing the decision that they made and im so scared that they will not grant him to stay with his family..
we have payed about $13,000 and we have exhausted all our funds..im just asking every one to please help us bring him home to his family who needs him..I talked to the Consulate of Cape Verde and they said that if i can gather more then 500 letters and signatures it can stop the deportation..
