What happens when the District Attorney is asked to prosecute a police officer?  Too often, nothing.  Your can change this now and get a new law on the books that appoints a Statewide Special Prosecutor to handle these cases and ensures Justice is served for all victims of police misconduct.

Police mis-conduct cases should not be handled by the local District Attorneys office — we need to solve the problem where it too often starts — by removing the D.A.’s office and appointing a statewide Special Prosecutor for Police Misconduct.  

When the district attorney is asked to enforce laws against a police officer they likely know or have worked with or are inherently biased to believe, there is an inherent conflict — one that perpetuates injustice and creates institutional racism.
