IMPORTANT COMMUNITY MEETING …OPEN TO THE PUBLIC 6:00 PM WEDNESDAY, JULY 23RD

RE: PROPOSED ASPHALT PLANT UPDATE

We are reaching out to inform the public about an upcoming Community Involvement Meeting, presented by the Dunlap & Shipman law firm/attorneys for the applicant. This meeting is a requirement by the Technical Review Committee on May 7th as a contingency before this project can move forward to the Planning Commission, and/or quasi-judicial, directly to a special Magistrate, before reaching the Board of County Commissioners for final decision.

Please note:  this meeting is not sponsored by The Alliance.

The Notice to the Public by Shipman & Dunlap was mailed only to the minimum required, which was 21 homes within 300 feet of the proposed site.

So…before they can simply check off all the boxes, that “the public” has been informed…

They have titled this a “Community Involvement” Meeting, but are clearly not anticipating a large turnout. 

HERE IS YOUR BEST AND MOST TIMELY OPPORTUNITY TO HELP INFLUENCE THE DECISION, OVERWHELM AND SEND A CLEAR MESSAGE, NOT IN THE USUAL “COURTROOM” SETTING, BUT AS PART OF OUR “CITIZENS’ COURT”

·         GROUNDWATER CONTAMINATION LEADING TO CONTAMINATION OF OUR BEAUTIFUL BAY

·         ROAD SAFETY /TRAFFIC CONGESTION ON HIGHWAY 20, WITH NO TRAFFIC LIGHTS OR TURN LANES

·         OUR MOST VULNERABLE:  BABIES, CHILDREN, IMMUNO-COMPROMISED, ELDERLY

YOUR PRESENCE ALONE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE…NUMBERS MATTER!
