STOP the Congestion on Wisconsin Ave

We, the undersigned, disagree with Roadside, the developer of Fannie Mae, that the current proposal is “well – suited” for our community. In fact, it is completely out of scale with the surrounding residential community. We have great concerns with public safety, property values, increased truck traffic, pedestrian walkways and construction noise. Further, the developer has yet to address our concerns with additional heavy traffic on 39th street and adjacent streets as drivers look for shortcuts in and out of the development.
With the new curb cut on Wisconsin, the traffic patterns will only get worse. In addition, the developer is further proposing to do away with important parking spots on Wisconsin. When one considers the additional developments taking place within a 1-block radius (4000 Wisconsin ave, Sidwell expansion, potential Hearst pool) our neighborhood is under siege.
We ask the ANC and Mary Cheh to require that Roadside revise its plans to drastically reduce the effects on the neighbors and preserve the character and safety of our neighborhood. The ANC has an opportunity to facilitate a solution that all residents can support.
