Why this petition matters

Started by Amanda Henry

Across the road from my house they are planning on building a huge warehouse.  The land was purchased as a residential property,  but they are now attempting to change its material use.  As you can appreciate, it's hard to find nice big blocks so close to the city,  with such a beautiful bush outlook as we have here.  The block across the road have submitted plans to build a warehouse the same size as our whole block of land,  touching the boundary on 3 sides,  cut down all trees,  widen the road,  and concrete the entire 3200+ m2 block. This will not only ruin our green outlook,  but also have terrible knock on effects on our wildlife,  across land flooding,  and housing value. It will bring with it noise,  pollution,  traffic,  and endanger our wildlife and families who live here.  We are a small dead end street,  with no curb and channel gutters, many horses are kept here and are often riding on the street,  koalas,  ducks, and other wildlife live here,  as well as 4 out of 7 of the houses with children.  The other houses are retired people.  None of us want this to go ahead.  Please support us in stopping this ruining our little street by signing the petition.  We don't have much time!
