Stop the Central Highlands council from removing Jayden Ireland’s memorial
Jayden passed away in May 2021, at the Blain St park in Blackwater. A lovely memorial has been left in the garden bed of the park to honour Jayden and to give the community a place of peace and comfort to mourn the loss of Jayden’s life. Jayden’s friends and many members of the Blackwater community go to Jayden’s memorial site daily to help them through their grief. Many have stated that going there helps them with their own mental state of mind. Jayden’s final resting place is in Rockhampton, a 2 and a half hour drive from Blackwater. If this memorial is taken down, the Blackwater community will have nowhere to go to mourn the loss of Jayden. The council are fully aware of this, yet unfortunately are still wanting to take it down. Please sign and share this petition to stop the council from removing Jayden’s memorial. Jayden has a right to be honoured and the community has a right to have a place of peace and comfort to mourn the loss of Jayden.
