The GCSD is trying to ban cell phones all day during school hours for grades 6-12 starting in the 2022-23 school year. They are spending $100,000 dollars on pouches to lock our phones in when they could be using it on more important things, like AC or bathroom stalls with doors that lock. Students, parents and staff were not asked their thoughts on this drastic change, which has sparked lots of conflict within the district.
