The Endangered Species Act is one of the most important environmental laws in our country. It protects polar bears from dangerous drilling in their Arctic homes. It safeguards threatened and endangered turtles from reckless fishing practices. And it safeguards rare Mexican gray wolves from poachers.

But now this important law -- a law that protects more than 1,000 unique kinds of wildlife from extinction -- is under attack.

Our animals need you. Urge Congress to stand up for the Endangered Species Act.

Already, Congress has eliminated vital protections for wolves in the Northern Rockies and Greater Yellowstone. Members of Alaska’s Congressional delegation are now fighting to roll back protections for America’s vanishing polar bears and rare Cook Inlet beluga whales.

Speak out for polar bears, wolves and other threatened and endangered wildlife. Sign our petition now.

Letter to
U.S. House of Representatives
U.S. Senate
As someone who cares about protecting wildlife for future generations, I am worried by the current assault on protections for threatened and endangered species and urge you to stand up for the sanctity of the Endangered Species Act, one of America’s most important conservation laws.

For nearly 40 years, the Endangered Species Act has helped rescue animals from the brink of extinction. Without this important law species like the American bald eagle and North American Gray wolf may never have survived.

But now some in Congress – backed by Big Oil, Big Ag and other special interests – have begun to whittle away at this vital law.

Already, Congress has eliminated vital protections for wolves in the Northern Rockies and Greater Yellowstone. Members of Alaska’s Congressional delegation are fighting to rollback protections for America’s vanishing polar bears and the rare Cook Inlet beluga whale. Even lesser known, but equally important animals like the dunes sagebrush lizard and lesser prairie chicken are in the crosshairs.

Each of these attacks threats the continued viability of the Endangered Species Act… and with it the future of some of America’s most precious and vulnerable wildlife.

The attacks on protections for threatened and endangered species must end. Please do everything in your power to oppose efforts to further weaken this important law.
