Petition Closed

A proposed change in a Tennessee law could protect students who engage in anti-gay bullying if they do so for religious reasons. David Fowler, a former state senator and current president of the Family Action Council of Tennessee (FACT) is basically telling these students it is OK to bully as long as you do it in the name of God.  In an interview, Fowler said, “the purpose is to stop bullying, not create special classes of people who are more important than others.” Yet that is exactly what he is doing!

I just signed the following petition addressed to: Tennessee Anti-Bullying Law.

----------------
Stop ALL bullying

A proposed change in a Tennessee law could protect students who engage in anti-gay bullying if they do so for religious reasons. This is not just about the LGBT community, NO ONE should be bullied and this law is basically telling these students it is OK to bully as long as you do it in the name of God.
