Brentwood Rd and Essex is a busy intersection within the Wellington Estates Community.  While there is a stop sign on Brentwood Rd in both directions at the intersection, Essex Rd has no stop signs.  Due to the location and use of the intersection as a school bus pickup and dropoff, there have been many close calls where vehicles traveling on Essex Rd in either direction disregard the bus stop and pass through the intersection while children are present.  This along with the speed at which vehicles travel on Essex causes a major concern for the children as well as walkers, joggers, and bike riders in the community.  Making this intersection a 4 way stop will increase the safety of people and vehicles at the intersection as well as be a reason for vehicles to slow down.  Please support your community and its residents by signing this petition to vote for stop signs to be placed on Essex Rd at the Brentwood Rd Intersection.  Thank you
