At my school, we get a slip of paper each morning with our grades on it. If you have anything but an F, you can go to an activity during the free period. If you have an F, you have to go to a teacher and fix it. Once, I lost my Jurassic period slip, and the people in the office said I was irresponsible for losing it, and made me go to study hall. I think they should change the rules so I don't have to go to study hall when I don't have bad grades.

I lost my slip. Something I had no control over. A small piece of paper is very easy to lose, and I think the consequences should not be that large. The school should not force students to go to study hall even if they have good grades. There are SO MANY other ways to deal with this issue.
