Local stores are selling poisonous plants that can kill our animals and children. We bought a Sago Palm plant, and it didn't have any warning labels stating it was poisonous.

My two dogs, Alf and Foley, ate pieces of a sago plant and became extremely sick in the span of a couple of hours. They were diagnosed with Sago Palm poisoning. They spent four days at the animal hospital with countless IV's, stomachs pumped and numerous medicines to absorb the toxins. Then weeks of not eating, being lethargic and lots more medicine.

Luckily after many weeks our dogs survived, but many other dogs don't have the same outcome with up to a 50% mortality rate. We had no warning that this plant was toxic.

Many plants are also poisonous to children. Save your kids, dogs and cats! Please help stop the sale of poisonous plants, like Sago Palms.
