Stop school web censoring of LGBTQIA support sites

Throughout the US, in public schools from San Diego in California to Augusta in Maine there are schools who are censoring any site related to LGBTQIA issues. The ACLU is collecting information on filters from students (and teachers) within these schools and making legal inroads against the offending school districts.

The sites being blocked include The It Gets Better Project, Gay Straight Alliance, and GLSEN, while quite often allow sites such as PFOX and NARTH which preach lies about how LGBTQIA people are sick and need to be cured.

Here's the blog article from the ACLU on their progress.

We need to raise awareness of the problem and demand of our Congress, State Legislatures, School Districts, and Principles that this insidious and potentially deadly policy of blocking vulnerable youth from the resources needed to help them.

Sign your name to make it heard that you condem this censorship by our public schools.
