We, the players of Roblox, are asking the company to rethink the new age verification and chat restrictions update. While keeping younger users safe is important, this update is breaking communities, separating friends, and hurting games that rely on mixed-age players like Bloxburg, Brookhaven, and Adopt Me.

The AI used to verify ages is inaccurate. Teens are being labeled as adults, kids as older teens, and friend groups are being split. Roleplay and creative servers are being ruined, and honest players are being punished while predators can still bypass the system.

We ask Roblox to make age verification optional, improve moderation tools, and allow exceptions for large developer games with mixed-age communities. Safety is important, but it shouldn’t come at the cost of friendships, creativity, and the games that make Roblox what it is.
