There is an application to change the rezoning on the Old Bar K Golf Course (8116 Chesnut Cove) from G1-Golf Course to R4-Multifamily Resdential.  This course has not been functioning for some time now, and is envisioned Lago Vista's Comprehensive Master Plan as a park space, and shown that way on the Future Land Use Map.  If the City allows this rezoning it will become just another collection of tract homes according to the design plan put forward by the developer.  

The City can, and should according to the Code of Ordinance, deny this application because it does not conform with the City's Comprehensive Master Plan - but that has not been happening lately.  As a community it is time to stand up and defend what is left of our green spaces from greedy developers.
