Throughout the years NYCHA hasn't provided any accountability for residents found loitering, defacing, menacing and urinating throughout the building. You cannot get into the elevator without stepping in feces and unidentified waste that appears to be left by a human.  You cannot walk through the stairwell without stepping into or over human waste. Generally, this bodily fluid can be found rubbed and smeared onto the walls. When this occurs it makes room for rodents such as rats to take over my community and not to mention the health effects associated with this unsanitary behavior. New York City housing authority chairperson should step down because of lack of management and incompetent cleaning staff. At times the horrific potent urine smell is disabling and causes breathing concerns similar to Covid. During Covid NYCHA failed to wash. wipe and power wash the walls in the hallways to remove the urine contents when they have the ability, resources and man power to do so. 

Smoke free building is NYCHA property but we continue to have both residents and non residents smoking Marijuana in the halls. Our leasess has been amended to reflect a non-smoking facility but housing isn't holding anyone accountable.

The great resolve is for NYCHA to use the cameras to identify these violators and hold them accountable even if it means criminal charges being filed and or the residents lease being terminated.
