It is ridiculous to not put new toilets where there is an already standing building where the old toilets used to be!

We are local and use the park. The proposed location of the toilets is not the most logical and with two kids it alsomakes it harder to keep my eye on them with the toilets in the way

There's activity in the park today apparently. Does anyone know the latest?

Whilst an amenity block is important to allow for better use of the park, where the block is situated should not impede on the primary use of that park which is leisure.
Furthermore if the amenity block were to be located in the middle of the park would it be well clear of the Tree Protection Zone (TPZ) and root system? In addition to that there would be extended amounts of trenching and digging to facilitate services (plumbing and sewer to the block) which will not only further disrupt the park, but also has the potential to clash with the root systems of the primary features of the site and is likely to cost more. Provided the amenity block is well designed both aesthetically and allowing for things like natural light and passively operating neighbours should have less of a reason to argue about the unsightly nature of a toilet block based upon some old versions that had been seen prior.
Thank you.

This is one of the most beautiful small parks I have ever wandered through. It even has kookaburras living in it. Please keep the toilet block on the edge of the park and keep the beautiful ambience of this tiny inner city park. We need beauty in this world, keep the beauty of Methven Park.

Green spaces are so very important for the well being of adults and children alike. We cannot afford to continue to lose large chunks of our ever decreasing public assets. Don't make this space unusable too.

This is a foolish proposal. It is taking a precious resource from a multitude of residents who use and love this park due to the concerns of a single resident and/or potential future developers

I love this park! We live just around the corner and have held multiple kids' birthday parties and spent many hours over the course of years there. It is one of the most beautiful parks in the area - totally agree, a toilet block right in the middle (of what is quite a small area) in one of the only sunny areas seems nonsensical and would be a real eye-sore.
