Yet more proof that Raystede Trustees have betrayed their founder.
Feb 24, 2018 —
In an effort to raise funds for her sanctuary, Miss M Raymonde-Hawkins published a book of photos she'd taken of Raystede's beloved residents and their beautiful surroundings. They included portraits of birds, snakes, monkeys, donkeys, dogs, foxes, ferrets, goats, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, horses .... and three of those residents were Silverbelle, Nelliebelle and baby Gertie (pictured above). Miss Raymonde-Hawkins couldn't have made it clearer that her sanctuary was for any and every animal in need. She made no distinction. She loved them all.
Since she died in 1998 though, things have changed. Where once cows found sanctuary at Raystede, now their flesh and secretions are served on the menu: https://www.raystede.org/cms-assets/hero-images/Cafe-Raystede-Menu-V10.pdf
Share this petition with everyone you know. Go to Raystede's facebook page and ask them why they have betrayed their founder and so many animals by serving animal products in their cafe.
