Stop "quasi" BMC proposed by StrataChoice to continue Administration of Regis Tower
Why this petition matters
Petition to reflect our serious concern over some of the directions proposed to be taken up by Strata Choice in the coming days. We’ve been communicated only recently some about the proposal of “quasi” BMC, and further continuation of the compulsory management.
We are concerned about the following proposed action:
- “quasi” BMC – This isn’t a realistic option, and we feel that this is certainly not going to solve any of our real concerns, that is to do with unfair treatment of certain stakeholders within the strata scheme.
The following are the major reasons that we certainly don’t agree neither do believe in the intent of Strata Choice to pursue this pathway, and request immediate dismissal of this proposal. We further do request, and advice Strata Choice not to pursue any endeavour of extending the compulsory management.
- Grace lawyers clearly stated they don't have middle to large scale quasi-BMC experience. Their experience limited to 10 lots.
- Both the law firms also clearly stated, 75% plus agreement through Specific Resolution is on the paper, but in fact, 100% or very close to 100% is needed.
- Considering the financial implication, and this might extend unnecessary compulsory management, this is quite bad.
We strata owners unitedly work in the best-interest for the overall strata scheme, and would like you to consider our petition with extreme importance.
