Update #1: Spread the word

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to thank you all for your support of our campaign! This petition has gained some real traction, but we want to keep spreading the word: STOP THE PROPOSED LOGGING OF THE TALLAROOK STATE FOREST!

For the past couple of weeks we’ve been out in the forest and have documented nearly 30 vulnerable Southern Greater Gliders in addition to dozens of Koalas and other arboreal marsupials living contentedly within 6 of the 14 coupes planned for logging - but we can’t rest until there’s a commitment to protect them all.

So you’ve signed the petition and are keen to get involved, but not sure where to start? Here’s a few ways YOU can make an impact:

  • Share and comment on our petition to let VicForests and your local MP know that the proposed logging of the Tallarook State Forest is simply unacceptable and immediate action must be taken to stop its destruction.
  • Follow Save the Tallarook Forest Facebook and Instagram page - invite your Friends to follow too! We upload some great footage of our expeditions here!
  • Put pen to paper: Contact your local Member of Parliament and let them know that the Tallarook State Forest holds more value as it stands than as pulp. Not sure what to write? Here’s a list of ideas.
  • Get into the forest! We need people out there with their feet on the ground documenting the endangered and fire ravaged species that live in the forest! For more info, please contact us via the Save the Tallarook Forest Facebook Page.
  • Get in touch with your local newspaper, community group and spread the word: STOP THE PROPOSED LOGGING OF THE TALLAROOK STATE FOREST

Again, we can’t thank you enough for your continued support.
