This issue is important because there are only 55 of the species left in the world they have been killed by fishing net’s and now the government has started to sell off some of the sanitary that they live in to an Oil drilling company. The oil drilling has a history of going very wrong in New Zealand, so it is a massive risk to allow this to happen. It is important that we stop this cause and save the last of the species from going extinct.
Maua dolphins are found in New Zealand, they are a rare species of dolphin and there are only 55 of them left, the cause of why there are only 55 of them left is because they get caught in fishing nets causing them to drown. Making an oil plantation near where this species lives can instantly kill them, the risk of this is that it can explode or leak. New Zealand has a history of this going wrong and having the rare species close to a dangerous environment is a huge risk.
Please help, I know it may not seem important but it is a start.
