The National PTA should be putting children and families well-being ahead of fundraising and collaborating to promote the use of digital media in classrooms and at home, particularly from the largest companies Meta, TikTok, Discord and other platforms that are known to destroy the “attention economy” (ability to focus as humans and authentically connect with each other) with algorithms that cause overuse and cause mental harm.
