Recent accepted manuscript published by Oxford BRAIN titled “Fear conditioning as a pathogenic mechanism in the postural tachycardia syndrome” and states:

“Despite its increasing recognition and extensive research, there is no unifying hypothesis on the pathophysiology of the postural tachycardia syndrome”.  This statement is misleading as much research has been published, and most recently presented during  DYSAUTONOMIA International Conference July 14, 2022

POTS Patients around the globe have suffered for decades due to misleading information such as that published in the manuscript listed above.

As a community, POTS patients and caregivers stand against the spread of this misleading information and urge the authors to continue their research referencing credible studies published by experts in this condition and join DYSAUTONOMIA INTERNATIONAL in their efforts to improve care for POTS patients and hopefully find a cure for this condition.
