There are a number of proposals for large scale solar farms on Anglesey. The companies will offer little by way of employment to our community, whilst blighting vast swathes of farmland with solar panels. What will this do to the diverse wildlife, insects, birds, and natural landscape that has been agricultural over centuries? The huge charm of Ynys Môn is how it has largely remained a farmed and natural island.

Solar panels can be placed on buildings. Solar panels could be utilised in so many alternative locations that are already a built environment. There is no need to cover over acres of countryside which will change the landscape so dreadfully for all those living on, and visiting this beautiful rugged little island in the Irish Sea. Please say no to this, which is, as always, lucrative for a small number of beneficiaries (the company shareholders, providing a 'limited' energy resource) whilst hugely detrimental to the natural environment here and with very minimal 'contributions' to the local communities.  Communities that will be expected to see the landscape they know and love disappear beneath a sea of panels which will, from afar, look no different to giant industrial complexes.
