Trevecca requires students to attend chapel services in order to receive credits. So many students struggle to meet these credits and are given little to no help from administration. Spiritual services should be a choice, and forcing people to attend a spiritual service against their will is an abuse of power. If students choose to go to chapel, that should be their choice. Commuters, those with health issues, and students from other religious practices should have the right to not attend. A great alternative would be community service; something that Jesus actually preached. Sign if you want that freedom to choose.
